Everyone goes through difficult times, but sometimes our problems affect our day-to-day lives and we feel that we can’t cope.  If you are in this situation, you are not alone.

Talking Together Wirral is a free and confidential service, commissioned by the NHS and is available to anyone aged 16+ who lives in the Wirral.

During the COVID-19 crisis we have the following measures in place:

  • All assessments take place over the phone
  • Therapy sessions will take place over the phone and/or via Skype
  • Group sessions have been paused for now

Age UK Wirral Update

Age UK Wirral staff are currently making wellbeing calls to our patients aged 75+ They will discuss with patients how they manage at homewhat support they have in place and try to  identify any support needs or services required within Age UK Wirral and/or external services.  

 Age UK Wirral support could include– Weekly Wellbeing calls/Phonelink /Telephone befriending/Falls prevention/Social Groups/Tablet loan scheme/IT Buddy support/Dementia Carers support/Admiral Nurses/Shopping/ Prescription collection/ Volunteering/ Information & Advice/ Health & Activity classes/ Legal surgery for solicitor support and advice / Counselling service etc. 

They also can signpost and work alongside other agencies including Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, CADT, Wired, Talking Together, Wirral Mind, Tomorrows Women, Wirral Ways to Recovery, Energy Project Plus, Cruse bereavement, Cleaning agencies, electricians and home repair companies and many more.
