Shielding Patients

All letters have now been sent out by NHS England to extremely vulnerable patients who should be shielding.  If you have not received a letter but believe you should have,then you can register at Coronavirus Extremely Vulnerable Person


Local Support for those Shielding and Self-isolating

Shielding patients should receive contact from NHS volunteers direct but we know there are some patients where this has taken time to organise.

For patients who fall into a number of vulnerable categories, you can also request support from the NHS Volunteers group…. NHS Volunteers Support

There is lots of support out there for those who are shielding and self-isolating.  There are a few links below that will take you to lots of organisations who are supporting communities; there is something suitable for everyone.

Emergency Dental Care

Revive Dental Care are providing an emergency dental service for patients in Cheshire and Merseyside for the following problems:

  • Trauma – usually caused by a blow to the face, a lost filling is not classed as trauma
  • Swelling of the face
  • Bleeding – uncontrolled, such as after an extraction
  • Pain that can’t be controlled by pain relief medicine
